Sipped & Savored
January’s Monthly Round-Up
I’ve rounded up the stuff I’ve loved this month for each category of the “R.E.P.O.R.T.”
If you’re not familiar with the trend, each letter represents a category. R is for reading, E is for eating - those are both pretty straightforward. P is for playing… I feel like this could be any form of playing - music playing, podcast playing, game playing, Finn playing, etc. O is for obsessing, R is for recommending, and T is for treating.

Without further ado, here’s January’s Monthly R.E.P.O.R.T.:
Reading
One of my goals this year is to read one nonfiction book a month. This month, I read Don’t Make It Weird by Colleen Nichols (linked here). I loved this book! It’s advertised as a helpful resource about being normal on social media (lol) to make sales, but that wasn’t why I read it. I just love Colleen’s fun, conversational, and tell-it-to-ya-straight tone! I’m still on her consistency challenge portion, and I love it.
For fiction, I read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch (linked here), which struck me as a sci-fi version of It’s a Wonderful Life and The Family Man. I liked it a lot and gave it four stars. I also finished my re-read of A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Mass (linked here), which will always be a 5 star read in my book. Annnd… I DNFed Bride by Ali Hazelwood (linked here)… it’s just not really my jam and was a little too… much… for me. Plus, I got my copy of Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros (linked here) before I finished it, so the poor thing never stood a chance.
Eating
We looooove this Chicken Parm Meatballs recipe (linked here)! Finny & I truly can’t get enough of it, and we end up cookin’ it up for the family weekly. It’s easy AND delicious - a true 10/10 in our book!
Playing
No link for this section because it’s a song lol. I’ve been playing “Defying Gravity” from the Wicked movie on repeat. Non-stop. Daily. If it’s not playing out loud, it’s playing in my head. It’s so fun and so beautiful, and I just love it so much. I feel the lyrics so deeply in my soul.
Obsessing
Two things: 1. Having my Beauty Pie skincare back (After exploring some other options, I decided to go back bc omg my skin looooves my Beauty Pie lineup and it loves my skin back.) and… These socks LOL. THEY’RE SO FUN!
If you want to try Beauty Pie’s skincare or makeup, this link will get you $20 off your first order of $80+.
Recommending
Getting your colors done! I don’t have much clothing in my season yet (I’m a light spring!), but I’m having so much fun playing with my ~*in season*~ makeup, and I’m super excited to go thrifting with new clothing colors in mind. Plus, it’s really helped me see colors in a different way, too, which is super fun!! I got mine done virtually through The Color Key and highly recommend them!
Treating
This month, I treated myself to some new makeup in my season, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG. This ColourPop eyeshadow palette in Blush Baby, the Maybelline Sky High mascara in true brown (this mascara is SO. GOOD.), and this E.L.F. lip gloss stain. Love love love.
